Hello friends, if you are interested in knowing related things from Computer software and security, or you like to explore new things in technology then you have heard of Unix (Unix) name. In addition to this, if you have already heard about Linux If you know from then you will know a lot about this because Linux and Unix are very much related to each other. If you do not know about it earlier and want to know what happens to this Trust to get ahead in it because it is what we would have Unix will talk about this? How it works, as well as we will also learn about the difference between Linux and Unix and how it is related to each other . Keeping all these questions in mind, let's go to their answers.
What is UNIX? What is UNIX?

| What is UNIX? |
Guys, Unix is a Multi tasking, Multi user Operating System , which was created in AT & T Bell Labs in 1969, which was created by computer experts Ken Thompson and Denis Ritchie and colleagues working at AT & T, T was made for its own use, but later it was commercialized in the year 1970.
This operating system was specially made for programmers and developers. It was in the fact that it provided the modular programming interface design, also called "Unix Philosophy". UNIX Operating System was written in 'C' and Assembly Programming Languages. C Programming language was developed specifically to create UNIX and was also made by Denis Ritchie. Even today, 'C' Programming Language is considered to be very special because Device Drivers are mostly written in the same language, and are also called Mother of All Programming Languages, since almost all the programming languages have been taken from Syntax.
Nowadays, the term unix is used for operating like a UNIX or operating system such as Unix. These operating systems repeat the Unix's working system and work just like it, they are not completely UNIX but they are like UNIX- Only happens. You can learn more about them too.
What is the difference between UNIX and Unix-like (unix)?
UNIX is a separate operating system, while Unix-like is the word unix used to refer to different operating systems that repeat its functioning system.Unix-like systems are also called UN * X or * NIX. Because UNIX (Capital letters) or Unix is the trademark of The Open Group, therefore it can not be used by all, so for Unix-like Operating Systems Unix-Like or unix (without Capital letters) is used.
An Unix-like application works just as it does in Unix operating systems, just like Unix Command or Shell script. Unix-like systems official is inspired by the UNIX operating system, but still does not completely keep the properties of UNIX as explained in this definition -
Only systems are fully compliant with and certified according to the UNIX specification. That is, only UNIX trademarks can be used for operating systems that follow single UNIX specifications (which keep all the properties of UNIX inside).
Any version of Mac OS 10 or above of Mac OS X is the biggest example of UNIX. Mac OS X 10.5 is UNIX 03 registered operating system as well as the first BSD based UNIX 03 certified operating system.
BSD i.e. Berkeley Software Distribution is a Unix-Like operating system and is based on the version of Apple's Mac OS X operating system.
Linux, BSD, Solaris etc. are some other examples of Unix-like.
UNIX special features
Some features of the UNIX operating system are as follows.Multitasking Multi-user
Unix is an operating system that supports multi-user and multitasking. That is, you can do more than one task at a time and at the same time it can be used by more than one user at one time.Programming interface
As I mentioned earlier, this was specifically designed for programmers and its interface was the same as it is quite a good operating system for programmers. The Shell
In the UNIX operating system, we use shell to run any command, shell our command approaches kernel and executes that command with kernel hardware .Files and Processes
The UNIX system's function consists of only two things: File or Process. Where the process is called executions of any program and file is called a collection of data such as a document or some written instruction (program). What is the difference between UNIX and Linux?
If you talk about the difference between UNIX and Linux , then very few things come out of which some of the things we have discussed above, but now it turns out some key features that are important for us to know. The UNIX operating system was built quite a long time, which is also old enough, while the Linux operating system is a Modular Unix-Like system that can be called the new-age Unix and it is becoming quite popular nowadays.
Unix was completely different from other operating systems, while Linux only derives the features of UNIX.
Most shell commands are used to perform UNIX operations. While in Linux we can also use the GUI.
Linux was born from UNIX, so it would not be wrong to call Modern UNIX.
